I am honored to work here at Oak Valley Elementary School with such a wonderful, hardworking staff. Our goal here at Oak Valley is to provide the best educational environment for the children of the community. Oak Valley provides a positive and caring setting with an extremely involved PTA and community. The relationship between the school and town has led to a positive environment for the children of Oak Valley. The staff uses all the district resources available and most recent technology to enhance their classroom learning environment. I personally want to thank the staff, the PTA and the community for all that they do for the children of Oak Valley Elementary. We strive to prepare our students for their future years of education and instill in them respect and an understanding of good character. We want our students to set goals for themselves and feel as though they have our support in reaching their goals.
About the Principal
I have had the privilege of working for the Deptford Twp. School District for the past 20 years. I feel honored to serve the students of Deptford Twp. I have watched many grow and move on with their life’s endeavors. I spent my first 10 years teaching at Monongahela Middle School. During those years at MMS, I taught in the 8th Grade. Throughout my tenure there I taught Science, Mathematics, Social Studies, Language Arts and Reading. I also served as the middle school’s Athletic Director, Red Team Leader and New-Teacher Mentor. Along with teaching at the middle school, I was privileged to be involved in the Boy’s Track and Field Program at Deptford High School. I truly enjoyed my time coaching the many individuals that went through the program over those 10 years. Before coming to Oak Valley, I spent 2 years as a Vice-Principal at Deptford Twp. High School. During those 2 years my roles included disciplinarian and supervisor of the English, World Language, Fine and Performing Arts and Social Studies departments. I enjoyed my time at DTHS and respect the staff there tremendously. My experiences at both MMS and DTHS were wonderful and I am very thankful to have the opportunity to work here at Oak Valley. As I enter another year as principal at Oak Valley Elementary, I continue to have the utmost pride educating the students of the community and look forward each an every day to working with such a dedicated and knowledgeable staff.
