Have you ever been a part of a science course where you experiment before learning the content? Have you ever been in a class where your teacher only answers your questions with questions? Modeling science is an integrated program where students model scientific concepts through inquiry based experimentation prior to learning the content being taught by the teacher. Teacher serves as a guide-on-the-side throughout most of the lessons and experiments and facilitates student discussion and “whiteboarding” activities.
*Must have successfully (B or better) completed Algebra I prior to enrolling in the Modeling Science Program.
*Students enrolled in the Academy of Engineering and Computer Science take the Modeling Science Program as a part of their academy.
