Education Foundation – Small Grant Program
The Deptford Township Foundation For Educational Excellence is pleased to announce another round of its Small Grant Program to assist you and your students in creating new opportunities for teaching and learning that are not funded through the normal school budget process.
The thrust of the program is to spark innovation in our schools and to give you the chance to put your creative ideas to work in the classroom.
Two types of grants will be offered: Mini-Grants of up to $1,000 are meant to serve one teacher, one classroom and one project idea: and Collaborative Grants of up to $2,000 may fund projects involving multiple classrooms, departments, or whole schools. Technology Grants will be handled separately and will possibly be considered if other means have been explored with the district.
Applications will be reviewed on a competitive basis and a limited number will be awarded for the 2019-2020 School year. As you may remember from previous years, the Foundation would offer grants twice a year, one for a spring grant and one for a winter grant. The Foundation has changed that and we will now be awarding grants once a year in April for programs that must be completed by the end of the following school year! The deadline for submission of applications for grants to be completed in the 2019-2020 school year is April 1, 2019. All applications must be in the Board Office by that date to be considered. The winners of the grants will be notified in May or early June 2019. The Foundation will expect each project selected in this round to be implemented during the 2019-2020 school year. You can find the application here or by clicking the link above.
