Director of Special Education and Special Programs
Mr. Nathan Barnes is the Director of Special Education. His responsibilities include overseeing the Special Education Programs, Child Study Team, Related Services (Speech, Counseling, Physical Therapy, and Occupational Therapy), and the Twilight Program.
Mr. Barnes is a graduate of Schalick High School in Pittsgrove, NJ. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree from Albright College, Reading, PA, in Child and Family Studies. Mr. Barnes received a Masters in School Psychology and an Educational Specialist degree in School Psychology from Rowan University. For five years he served as a school psychologist within Deptford Township School District. During that time he completed his Masters in School Administration at Rowan University. Mr. Barnes reported: “My goal is to promote a positive learning environment in which all children can be successful in their least restrictive environment.”
