Qualifications:

  • Required criminal history background clearance

  • Punctual and dependable

Reports To: Spartan Care Director, Lead, and Provider

Job Goals:

  1. To assist Spartan Care Provider achieve program objectives for all students.
  2. To provide a well-organized functioning environment in which students can take full advantage of the Spartan Care experience.

Proficiency:

  1. Develop a very good rapport with all students involved in Spartan Care Program.
  2. Ability to work closely with the Spartan Care Provider to assist in the implementation of the Spartan Care Program.

 Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Plan, lead and participate in free play, structured activities and, depending on qualifications, make adjustments in programming according to space, attendance and weather conditions.
  2. Assure safety of students, administer first-aid and resolve differences between students.
  3. Use positive praise and encouragement when working with children and staff.
  4. Attend in-service meetings and other necessary meetings or trainings as requested.
  5. Compile and maintain necessary student information as requested by Spartan Care Provider.
  6. Maintain a logbook of all parent contacts.
  7. Conduct safety and fire drills.
  8. Support district policies and regulations.
  9. Attends applicable trainings when required.
  10. Perform any other related duties assigned by the Spartan Care Director or Provider.
  11. Maintain a positive relationship with parents and students.
  12. To perform such other duties as assigned and within the scope of employment as determined by the Superintendent of Schools.

  2. Oversee and act as first line of referral for parents, students and staff regarding all incidents that take place during Spartan Care.

Supervise: Aides

Job Goal:  To assist the Director with all functions and assignments necessary for the daily functioning of the Spartan Care Program.

Performance Responsibilities

  1. Plan, lead and participate in free play, structured activities and, depending on qualifications, make adjustments in programming according to space, attendance and weather conditions.
  2. Assure safety of students, administer first-aid and resolve differences between students.
  3. Assure students are dismissed at appropriate times for class (a.m. Session).
  4. Communicate with Director, Lead, and Aides to discuss needs and methods to best meet those needs.
  5. Assure materials and supplies are available for activities.
  6. Establish a cooperative attitude among all staff, children and parents.
  7. Use positive praise and encouragement when working with children and staff.
  8. Maintain confidentiality of student files and other professional communication.
  9. Develop monthly schedules of activities in collaboration with Director.
  10. Supervise Lead and Aide staff members.
  11. Attend in-service meetings and other necessary meetings as requested.
  12. Compile and maintain necessary student information as requested by Director.
  13. Maintain a logbook of all parent contacts.
  14. Conduct safety and fire drills.
  15. Support district policies and regulations.
  16. Attends applicable trainings when required.

Supervises:  Spartan Care Providers and Spartan Care Aides

Job Goal:  To assist the Director of Spartan Care with all functions and assignments necessary for the daily functioning of the Spartan Care Program.  Supervise Spartan Care Providers and Aides to the best of their ability to ensure continuity of the program between buildings.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain a safe environment
  2. Collect fees and paperwork associated with Spartan Care
  3. Maintain attendance reports
  4. Assist in the development and implementation of themes and activities
  5. Evaluate operations at each facility
  6. Assist in fire drills
  7. Work/communicate with the Spartan Care staff to provide the best care
  8. Assist with scheduling
  9. Collaborate activities with the director, provider and aides
  10. Attend/lead meetings with staff
  11. Perform general duties that are associated with Spartan Care
  12. Supervise providers and aides
  13. Maintain confidentially of personal information of students
  14. Maintain student files/records
  15. Maintain a logbook of parent contact
  16. Assist in state certification process
  17. Attend applicable trainings when required
  18. Perform any other related duties assigned by the Director of Spartan Care or Superintendent
