Ms. Maria Gioffre
Principal at Central Early Childhood Center
It is a privilege to serve as the principal of Central Early Childhood Center and be given the opportunity to instill the spirit, integrity, and energy that the school community deserves. I have been an educator in Deptford Township Schools since 1988. I was a special education teacher at Shady Lane Elementary School for 16 years. In 2004, I was assigned to Pine Acres Early Childhood Center as the principal where I served for two wonderful years. Now with great joy and excitement, I look forward to serving in yet another great school in DeptfordTownship at Central Early Childhood Center.
Central’s faculty members are dedicated to helping each student reach his/her potential through nurturing their natural curiosity and desire to grow. We will accomplish this commitment through a partnership of staff, students, parents, and community.
We will maintain a school climate in which students and staff feels supported, respected, appreciated, and safe. The student is the focal point of our endeavors with academic, mental, emotional, physical, and social development all being important. Our commitment is to teach academic skills while helping each student learn to think and reason logically, critically, and creatively.
Central Early Childhood Center is a school that is filled with discovery, exploration, excitement and enthusiastic hands-on learning. I am confident that if we all work together we will prepare each child for a fulfilling life. After all, educating children is a cooperative task, and working together is the most powerful and productive thing we can do.
It is with great anticipation that I look forward to working with all members of our “Central family”!
